Seal releases a deluxe edition of his second album for his 30th birthday

The second eponymous album by Seal, first released in 1994, has now been remastered and expanded into a deluxe edition to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The album will be available starting June 14th in 2 CD/Blu-ray and 2 LP versions. The 2CD/Blu-ray version will contain exclusive high-resolution Dolby Atmos and PCM 24/96 stereo mixes of the album, while the vinyl versions will be a 2LP on black vinyl and, later, an exclusive version on colored vinyl “Milky White”. The release is preceded by an unreleased version of “Kiss From A Rose”.

The album 'Seal' (often called “Seal II”), produced by Trevor Hornwas released in May 1994. Among the 11 songs on the album are “Prayer For The Dying”, “Bring It On” with Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman Of Prince and the Revolution and the duet “If I Could”with Joni Mitchell. This new version of 'Seal (Deluxe Edition)' will contain ten previously unreleased recordings, offering alternative versions of songs from the album such as “Newborn Friend” And “Don't Cry”as well as a version of “Dreaming In Metaphors” which features Seal alone at the piano. The Deluxe edition also features the B-side “Blues In E”a cover of “Fly Like An Eagle” from the Steve Miller Band from the 'Space Jam' soundtrack and a version of “Manic Depression” registered by Seal with Jeff Beck For “Stone Free: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix”.
