Travis Scott in Christopher Nolan’s new film
As if there wasn’t enough already hype for the new film by Christopher Nolanhe thinks about it Travis Scott to make the wait even more The Odyssey: a new TV commercial featured the rapper himself.
The teaser of about a minute was broadcast on Fox, coinciding with the AFC championship game between the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos. During the very brief glimpse of Nolan’s epic, the Menelaus played by Jon Bernthal and the Telemachus by Tom Holland are interrupted by Travis Scott, who silences the canteento warn of the imminent arrival of a war. “A war, a man, a trick: a trick to demolish the walls of Troy” thunders the rapper, while the trailer anticipates the legendary Trojan War with some suggestive images.
It is not the first time that Nolan collaborates with Travis Scott, who had already contributed to the soundtrack of “Tenet” in 2020. The director had declared that his voice:
it had become the final piece of a year-long puzzle. His insights into the musical and narrative mechanism that composer Ludwig Göransson and I were building were immediate, penetrating and profound.
