There are no round figures to celebrate, but on 31 October the WHOs will release a reprint of their “Who Are You”, their eighth album, originally shipped in the shops in 1978 and among the various formats planned there is also a super deluxe edition that represents a sort of El Dorado for the fans of the band led by Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. Yes, because this edition of the box will contain over 70 unpublished songs, to be precise 71, Including unpublished versions of the title track “Who are you”, remixed live songs from their first tour without the original drummer Keith Moon and recordings of the band during the album tests in 1978 and 1979.

The album will also be released in a 4LP deluxe box, a 2CD deluxe edition and two limited vinyl editions, one colorful and a Half Speed.

Super Deluxe Edition Book

It also contains a bound book of 100 pages with large cover notes by Matt Kent who cover the previous period and following the album exit, as well as details Track-by-track And session notes, together with the cover notes of Steven Wilson on his remixes in Dolby Atmos. The volume is richly illustrated with unpublished photographs, memorabilia, boxes of original ribbons and vintage advertisements.

This limited edition deluxe box includes a set of four LPs on 180 grams vinyl, with the original album remastered from scratch, as well as live recordings of the 1979 American tour. The box with lifting lid contains 1 LP single cover and 3 LP on the tripla opening cover (Triple Gatefold), together with a paperback of 28 pages.
