The Green Days raised this worship song after 28 years
The last time they performed it live was 1997: the tour was the one linked to the album of which the song was part, “Nimrod”, released in October of that same year. The song in question is “Houshinka”: the Green days returned to play it live after twenty -eight years last Saturday on the occasion of the stage of the “Saviors Tour” at the Parque Estadio Nacional in Santiago del Chile.
Billy Joe Armstrong and his companions, who during the concerts of this tour used to pull out of the “archives” songs of worship loved by fans but ended up for decades outside the ladders of their shows, surprised the Chilean fans by dusting off the piece taken from “Nimrod”. “From Berkeley to Santiago … Haushinka is alive !!! It is the first time we play this piece since ’97,” said the frontman of the pop-punk trio, before sticking to play the song. Here, below, the video:
