The Weeknd: New Album Announcement Coming Soon?
Through a cryptic new video shared in the last few hours on his official social media channels, The Weeknd has hinted that the announcement of new music is imminent.
Last January, as already explained, the Canadian artist born Abel Tesfaye published a post on Instagram with the covers of the last two albums, “After Hours” from 2020 and “Dawn FM” from 2022, followed by a third black image with a question mark. The musician, writing in the caption of the post simply “3”, had thus made it clear that his next studio work will be the last chapter of the trilogy that began four years ago with the 2020 album.
Now, The Weeknd has shared a short video on social media showing his glassy eyes staring into the camera, along with a photo of a child silhouetted among the trees in a forest at night.
As NME recalls, some fans started speculating about the possible title of The Weeknd’s new album years ago. A Reddit user claimed that the artist may have hinted at the title of the next album in the track “Every Angel is Terrifying” from “Dawn FM”, suggesting “After Life” as a possible title for the new album.
