Super Bowl 2025, Kendrick Lamar has the halftime show
Kendrick Lamar will be the star of the halftime show – the musical number at the middle of the game – at the next Super Bowl: the rapper himself announced the news through a video posted today, Sunday 8 September, on his official YouTube channel.
“I’m performing at the 59th Super Bowl,” Lamar says. “You only have one chance to win a championship, and I don’t want you to miss it. I’ll see you in New Orleans on February 9th. Put on your best suit, even if you’re just watching from home.”
This is not Lamar’s first time at the music show considered the most prestigious in the world in terms of viewers: the artist had already been included in the guest cast of the 2022 halftime show that featured Dr. Dre, who brought hip hop heavyweights such as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige to the stage of the SoFI Stadium in Los Angeles.
