Goodbye Zoot Money
George Bruno “Zoot” Money, singer, keyboardist and frontman known as one of the most important exponents of the early British r’n’b scene, has died at the age of 82: the news, without specifying the cause of death, was given by his official social media accounts.
Born in Bournemouth, inspired by giants such as Jerry Lee Lewis and Ray Charles Money, he managed to become a point of reference in the London club scene, and then definitively established himself with his Big Roll Band, which became one of the favorite groups of the nascent mod movement.
