Sanremo 2025, the rules have been published: 24 Big and New proposals

Sanremo, a “talent” for New Proposals: five evenings on Rai2

This evening, September 22, while Amadeua debuts on 9/Discovery with Suzuki Music Party, Carlo Conti was a guest on the evening edition of TG1 to take stock of the next Sanremo, scheduled from February 11 to 15. The showman, who returns to the role of host and artistic director of the Festival after his experiences in 2015, 2016 and 2017, announced that he is already listening to the songs nominated to be among the Big of the event and revealed some news regarding the youngsters.

As already revealed in the regulation, published last August, for Sanremo 2025 the New Proposals are back, to which those who are between 16 and 26 years old can apply by next October 9, and in this regard Conti said that there will be “a sort of parallel talent show”. “I’m already working together with the artistic commission that will help me choose the New Proposals”, said the host and artistic director of Sanremo 2025: “By the way, there is time until October 9, so the New Proposals, those who are between 16 and 26 years old, with something truly new to propose, can register on the RAI website”. He added: “And then I’m also listening to many, many songs by the Big, obviously”.

When asked what he can tell us and what he can reveal about how the evenings dedicated to the New Proposals will be structured, Carlo Conti said:

“There is some great news about the New Proposals: this year we will do a sort of parallel talent show that will lead us to discover the four who will then arrive at the Ariston in February. We will do five evenings on Rai 2, maybe in a few weeks I’ll also tell you who will host – because I won’t host those. So we’ll tell you how we’ll slowly get over the course of these five evenings to the selection of the best who will arrive at the festival as New Proposals 2025″.

When pressed to tell us more about Big, how many songs he’s receiving and what the songs are like so far, Conti continued:

“It’s a bit early to reveal the names of the 24 Bigs in the competition now: but I have to tell you that we will announce them as usual at the beginning of December. I’m still listening to a lot of songs. These Italian singers are really giving me a hard time. There’s a bit of everything. There’s melody, there’s the most committed song, there’s light music – very light, there’s rhythm, there’s dance, there’s disco. There’s a bit of everything”.
