Rolling Stones, the debut album turns 60: the special
“The Rolling Stones” is the debut album of the band from which it takes its title; was released by Decca in the United Kingdom on 17 April 1964, just sixty years ago (the US edition, slightly different in the tracklist – it included “Not fade away” and excluded “Mona” – was released on 29 May 1964 on the London label , with the subtitle “England's Newest Hit Makers”).
We decided to celebrate the anniversary by creating a special on the songs that make up the album's tracklist: clicking here takes you to the page dedicated to the initiative, while clicking on each title below takes you to the song profile.
