Queens Of The Stone Age: Josh Homme Remains Under Medical Treatment
Queens Of The Stone Age (here is the review of their last date in Milan) have cancelled further live dates while frontman Josh Homme is still under “medical care”. Earlier this month, the band cancelled a series of European dates because Homme had to undergo “emergency surgery” in the United States. “Every effort has been made to move forward and play for you, but continuing is no longer an option,” the band said in a statement also posted on social media. QOTSA have cancelled eight shows between July 10 and July 27.
Now, the group has canceled seven more performances in Europe that were scheduled for next month, August. They are: Way Out West in Sweden (August 8), Oya Festival in Norway (9), Syd For Solen in Denmark (10), Cabaret Vert in France (15), Lowlands in the Netherlands (16), Pukkelpop in Belgium (18), and Vilar de Mouros in Portugal (21). “Due to ongoing medical treatment, it is by order of his doctors that Josh Homme remains under their care in the United States. The following performances at the QOTSA festival have been canceled,” a new press release reads. It goes on to thank them: “The Homme family and QOTSA are very grateful for the outpouring of good wishes and kind understanding during this time.”
