Prince: the Netflix documentary of the Discredia is canceled
It is now official: the Netflix documentary on Prince, on which the platform was even working since 2018, has been definitively canceled.
No docu-film will be released on the minneapolis grocery, at least not on the platform considered one of the streaming giants. The reason? A dispute between the heirs of Prince and the director of the film, Ezra Edelman, known above all for the documentary “OJ: Made in America”, who in 2016 told the parable of Oj Simpson, who was accused of killing from Idol of American football his ex -wife and later was sentenced to twenty years for another crime. Prince’s heirs supported how the docu-film was full of “dramatic” factual inaccuracies and “sensational” representations of some events in his life. And therefore they opposed the spread of the documentary. .
The news had already been reported in recent weeks by Variety, but now it is official: Netflix has communicated its cancellation definitively.
