Phil Collins Working on New Music After More Than 20 Years

As documented in a post shared on social media by the producer and journalist Simon Napier Bellan important and recurring name in the history of rock and pop music, Phil Collins could soon start working on new music for the first time in over two decades.

In the message, available at this link, Napier-Bell recounted the interview he made with the former Genesis member at his home in Switzerland for a new documentary dedicated to the Marquee Cluba historic London venue that closed its doors in 2008 after 50 years. Simon Napier-Bell wrote of the meeting:

“Yesterday we filmed with Phil Collins at his house on Lake Geneva. He was in great shape, full of incredible stories, super funny. He also just renovated his studio. We will definitely be hearing new music soon.”

The 73-year-old musician, who has been living with serious spinal problems for some time now and who in March 2022 announced his intention to close his his live career with the Genesis during a concert at the O2 Arena in London, he released the last album of original music in 2003or from the release of the soundtrack of the Disney animated film “Brother Bear” 2003while the year before he had released his latest solo studio project, “Testify“.
