Oasis, Liam speaks: “We are the best band on the planet”

In the aftermath of the show that last Sunday in Sao Paulo marked the end of “Oasis Live ’25”, the epochal Oasis reunion tour, Liam Gallagher breaks the silence. He does so after the post shared on the group’s official social channels with which he and his brother Noel announced a break, freezing the fans who were immediately waiting for the announcement of new dates for 2026, Europe – and Italy – included. “It is time for reflection,” they wrote. While the video of the final embrace between the two (ex) rock knife brothers on the stage of the San Paolo stadium went viral on social media, which you can find below, Liam shared a passionate message dedicated to the fans on his X account:

Without you we were just a good band, with you we were the BEST BAND ON THE FUCKING PLANET.

The 41 shows of “Oasis Live ’25”, which started last July 4th from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, before stopping in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Pasadena, Mexico City, London again, Goyang, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, Buenos Aires and, indeed, Sao Paulo, saw the total participation of 2.8 million spectators.

Already on the eve of the final dates of the tour, Liam Gallagher had dampened the enthusiasm of the fans regarding a continuation of the tour also in 2026: “You will see me next year and the year after and so on, but I’m not yet sure if it will be with Oasis. We have to sit there and discuss it. If it were only up to me, you know well that we would be on tour until the day we die, because it is the most beautiful thing in the world, but unfortunately it is not like that”. Yet it was the youngest of the Gallagher brothers who told the audience during a concert in September at Wembley Stadium in London: “See you next year.” A way to mislead fans after the spoilers of recent months or sincere statements? Maybe.
