Oasis, Liam Gallagher speaks: “The band does not discriminate anyone”
The collaboration between the Oasis and Adidas announced these days in view of the reunion of the Gallagher brothers has raised some controversy. At least, this is what you would say by reading some tweets to which Liam Gallagher has been going in the last few hours.
The Oasis and the German sports brand announced the agreement last week, complete with commercials and also an unprecedented photo that portrays Noel and Liam together, the second widespread since the Reunion tour was announced. The one between the band symbol of the Britpop and the iconic German sports brand is a historical partnership, which on the occasion of “Oasis Live 2025”, as was renamed the Reunion tour, has renewed for a collaboration by virtue of which Adidas has put on sale exclusive products related to the group of “Live Forever”. A store was also opened in Manchester, where some lucky fans were able to buy first of many of the products provided for by the collaboration (some immediately went sold out also on the official website).
While many fans said immediately enthusiastic about the new merchandising, some seem to have been more critical towards the collaboration with Adidas. And it is to the latter that Liam Gallagher turned, denouncing their negative attitude towards the partnership and reiterating how the Oasis “do not discriminate” nobody.
“I am feeling a lot of bullshit who is the beneficiary of this collaboration between Adidas and Oasis. It is for everyone, now stopping on whimper,” he tweeted. And again: “And if you think you don’t do for you, don’t buy the products. But don’t even complain, but”. And finally he added: “It is for everyone, however, young and old”.
At the debut of the Oasis reunion tour, just under two weeks are missing: Noel and Liam will return to perform live together for the first time in sixteen years on July 4 at the Cardiff’s mainty stadium.
