Nicki Minaj surprised fans during a concert by presenting Drake as a surprise guest and performing the live debut of “Needle“.

The moment occurred on Tuesday (April 30), when the “Super Freaky Girl” took the stage Torontodate in the calendar of his world tour which follows the release of “Pink Friday 2” of 2023.

While on stage at Scotiabank Arena, he told the audience halfway through the set that he would be bringing out a special guest. “Make some noise for the king of Toronto,” Nicki told the crowd, “Make some noise for this icon, this legend.”

It was there that the “Trust Issues” rapper took the stage and the two performed “Needle” together for the first time ever live, the song created by the two, contained in the protagonist's latest album of the evening.

The song was included in the Trinidadian singer's recent album and peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100. The duet remained on the charts for four weeks, becoming one of the album's standout tracks.

In addition to duetting with Nicki Minaj, Drake also performed a version of his 2023 track “Rich Baby Daddy” as the singer went backstage for a wardrobe change.

Before leaving the stage, the “God's Plan” rapper greeted the audience with a farewell message, which seemed to be a nod to his ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar. “I love you. You know what time it is, you know what I have to do,” she said. (Read here)

After the concert with Drake's appearance Nicki Minaj continued her world tour playing last night in her hometown at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The next dates in Oklahoma, Houston, Dallas and Austin, scheduled in the next few days, will conclude the American part of the tour, which will resume overseas in Europe and Great Britain.

The rapper is also expected in Italy. Wednesday 3 July 2024 at Fiera Milano Live he will be live in the Lombardy capital to present his album “Pink Friday 2” released last December in concert.
