Mötley Crüe, Mick Mars is already thinking about a new solo album

Last February, Mick Mars released his first solo studio album, “The other side of Mars”. Just over a month later, the former guitarist and co-founder of Mötley Crüe has confirmed that he is already thinking about a new album and that fans won't have to wait too long before hearing his material.

After letting UCR know at the end of last year that he had “a lot of ideas and years and years of material”, in a new interview with Matt Wardlaw for Ultimate Classic Rock Nights, the musician – who in November 2022 decided to retiring from live activities with the formation of “Girls, girls, girls” – he explained that the work on new songs should proceed faster this time and said: “I know I have found the right formula and that I am surrounded by people right.”

The 72-year-old artist, born Robert Alan Deal, however underlined that he wants to give “The other side of mars “some space to breathe and grow”, predicting that the sequel will not arrive before 2025.

During the recent chat, when it was pointed out to Mick Mars that his first solo album took a long time to make and that it will be interesting to discover the direction of his next work, the musician stated: “There's a new album that's boiling in the pot. About to arrive. There are some really strong ideas that when I hear them I think, 'Wow, that's great.'”
