Morrissey hospitalized in America, postponed two dates

Morrisseythe former frontman of Smithskicked off the North American part of his tour last Saturday (April 26), playing rarity and old songs of the band for the first time after years (Read here).

The (in a few days) 66 -year -old English artist should have played at the Civic Theater in San Diego on May 1, followed by a concert in Rancho Mirage, California, on May 3, but both shows were skipped after the singer “contracted a serious sinusitis attack”, according to what reported by his official website.

Morrissey has been treated at the Coronado Hospital in San Diego and his spokespersons have now confirmed that the tour will resume as scheduled for Monday 5 May at the Tucson Centennial Hall, in Arizona. The dates of the missed shows will be reprogrammed.

“Morrissey, the band and the crew are very rewarded by those who convey understanding in the difficult moments of the tour”, concludes the press release.
