After five years David Lee Roth returns to the stage: Video and Scaletta

After five years of absence from the stage David Lee Roth he made a return to the big Saturday evening (3 May 2025) atM3 Festivalwhere he proposed sets of classics of Van Halen With the help of an eight elements band.

“We arrived at the end of my first retirement,” the singer joked at some point. “How many did Rocky have? Nine?”.

In the powerful band that accompanied Roth in this return, a new group of four choristers stands out, in support of the frontman; Together they performed “I’m the one” complete with Breakdown a chapel.

It was Roth’s first official concert that did not calm the stage since he opened for Kiss on March 10, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas, just before the Covid-19 pandemic interrupted the tour. When the Kiss resumed the tour, a year and a half later, they did it without the former Van Halen singer.

In October 2021, the 71 -year -old American singer announced a residence in Las Vegas for the beginning of 2022, but ended up eraseing all the shows, citing unriving in health problems. “I retire,” revealed the singer at Las Vegas Review Journal at the time.

Roth also added that he had been “encouraged and forced to realize how short the time is, and my time is probably even shorter”, adding that “my doctors, my managers, forced me to realize that every time I get on stage, I endanger my future”.

Since then “Diamond Dave” would have held a handful of private shows, as well as publishing a series of unpublished songs on YouTube, countless dance videos and occasionally exchanges of jokes with his friend Sammy Hagar.

Although so far there is only another date confirmed in the Roth program for 2025 – on September 12 at the Mountain Winery in Sarathoga, in California – the singer seemed to mention larger planes while the show turned to the end. After repeatedly congratulated his band for playing “a fucking show show,” he said to the crowd. “See you on the road!”.
