Lennon’s children, McCartney and Ringo did it again
They did it again. After combining their forces in April last year for “Primrosa Hill”, Sean Ono Lennon, James McCartney and Zak Starkey, children of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr respectively, published a new piece together. The song of the “Children of the Beatles” is titled “Rip off” and is the most recent single published by the supergroup led by Starkey, the Mantra of the Cosmos.
The song was shared by Starkey himself on his official Instagram account and sees the participation of Sean Ono Lennon and James McCartney together with the other members of the Mantra of the Cosmos, or the bassist of the Oasis Andy Bell, the singer Shaun Ryder and the performer Mark “Bez” Berry, both members of the Happy Mondeys band.
In a recent interview with Telegraph, speaking of the song, Starkey said: “No, it’s not a song in the Beatles style. It is a piece in the style of the Mantra of the Cosmos, with Sean of the Cosmos and James of the Cosmos: this is my band”.
Zak Starkey, born in 1965, was born from the union between Ringo Starr and Maureen Cox. Sean Lennon was born in 1975 from the union between dad John Lennon and mom Yoko Ono. James McCartney, born in 1977, was born from the union between Paul and his wife Linda.
