Lady Gaga adds to the performers of the MTV VMas 2025
In addition to Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin and Busta Rhymes, previously announced, Lady Gaga will also perform at the MTV VMAS 2025. The pop star also leads this year’s nominations (here the complete list), with 12 candidates. Her collaborator in “Die with a Smile”, Bruno Mars, follows her with 10 applications, the same number obtained by Kendrick Lamar. It is the only three artists who have reached the double figure this year.
The MTV Video Music Awards will be held on September 7th at the UBS Arena in New York, marking the first performance of Lady Gaga at the show after five years. “We need that all the Little Monsters come to the front row! On the same evening as the prizes, the voice of “Bad Romance”, scheduled a date of his “Mayhem Ball Tour” at the Madison Square Garden in New York: this means that his performance will probably be transmitted by that stage, instead of seeing it live at the Ubs Arena.
The last performance of Lady Gaga Vma dates back to 2020, when he brought a medley of songs from “Chromatica” on stage together with the Ariana Grande guest. That evening the two also won the prize for the “Song of the Year” with “Rain on Me”, while Gaga won the title of “Artist of the Year”.
The most coveted prize, “Video of the Year”, will be contested between Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga with Bruno Mars, Rosé with Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter and The Weeknd with playboi carti. This year, the VMas will also reward in two new categories: “Best Pop Artist” and “Best Country”.
The news follows the announcement of Lady Gaga who recently revealed the release date of his next single “The Dead Dance” from the soundtrack of the second season of “Wednesday”. The song will be published on Wednesday together with the new episodes of the series, which will also see the same Gaga in the cast. The pop star will also perform in concert in Milan for two dates at the forum scheduled for 19 and 20 October.
