Cyndi Lauper: also Cher and Joni Mitchell at his final show

The last Cyndi Lauper concert of his farewell tour was held last night, 30 August at the Hollywood Bowl. The evening saw several guest artists perform together with the singer during the final act of the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour”. Among the stars who reached Cyndi Lauper on stage there were also Cher and Joni Mitchell.

Lauper and Mitchell have united forces for a cover of the “Carey” of the latter. Sza, John Legend, Trombone Shorty and Jake Wesley Rogers took part in the celebrations at different times of the evening. At the end of the show, Cher, Lauper reached the stage for the classic “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”.

After a career that lasted almost 50 years, Cyndi Lauper said he had enough travel: “I don’t want more trains, planes and cars,” he said to Jimmy Kimmel in June 2024: “Now I’m strong, but I don’t know how I will be in four years. I wanted to have the opportunity to do this when I still feel strong and, you know, celebrate with people”.
