Krist Novoselic Joins Nirvana Tribute Band

Thursday night, at their concert in Vancouver, Washington, FooVana, the tribute band, which re-proposes the repertoire of the Foo Fighters and of the Nirvanawas joined by a special guest: the original bassist of the Nirvana Krist Novoselic.

“Come out here to Georgie’s Garage and Grill! The show is about to start! Oh yeah, that’s right… Someone else is here!!!,” the Portland, Oregon band wrote on social media ahead of the show, sharing a photo of Novoselic.

The band and the bassist played three Nirvana songs together: “Blew“, “Lithium” And “smells like Teen Spirit“. Here are the three videos

Last year, Novoselic was asked by NME if he would be interested in reuniting with the other surviving members of Nirvana 😀hail Grohl And Pat Smear.

“I would love to,” he replied. “There was a moment after Kurt Cobain died where I said, ‘I’m never going to play these songs again.’ That was part of the grief I went through. We don’t want to overdo it, we try to make it special and be grateful. When the opportunity arises, we’ll do it if it feels right. In the meantime, let’s remember Kurt and do our thing.”
