Kanye West, concert in France postponed to a later date
Kanye West’s concert scheduled in Marseille for June 11th – a week earlier than the one expected in Reggio Emilia for the Hellwatt Festival – has been postponed to a later date: the artist himself revealed this through a post on To prevent the rapper from going on stage in Marseille, Nunez is reportedly considering various options, evaluated by the minister together with the regional prefect and the city mayor during a visit last week. Mayor Benoit Payan reiterated his opposition, saying he refuses “to allow Marseille to be a showcase for those who promote hatred”.
Having been denied a visa to enter the United Kingdom for his anti-Semitic positions (for which he published an apology), West will instead be welcomed without problems in the Netherlands, where minister Bart van den Brink declared that at the moment there are no plans to prevent him from performing on June 6th at the GelreDome in Arnhem.
