First Madonna, then I Rolling Stones. It will be a very hot July, from a recording point of view. The Queen of Pop has revealed the release date of “Confessions on a dance floor 2”, the long-awaited sequel to her 2005 album (among the most loved in her discography): it will arrive in stores on July 3. A week later, the July 10ththe new Rolling Stones album will be released: the release date of “Foreign tongues”, this is the title of Jagger and co’s album, has not yet been made official, but will be – according to rumors – very soon. It will therefore be war, so to speak, between the Queen of Pop and the senators of classic rock. Already in 2005, the year of publication of “Confessions on a dance floor”, Madonna and the Rolling Stones – read Rockol’s mixtape dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of “Aftermath” here – came close to the record challenge. On September 5 of that year the British rock band released “A bigger bang”, while Madonna released her “Confessions on a dance floor” on November 9, two months later.

The Rolling Stones will make official the release date – and also the title – of the sequel to “Hackney diamonds” in the next few days. Meanwhile, the band surprised everyone, fans and enthusiasts, with the marketing strategy chosen to publish the first preview of the project, “Rough and twisted”, printed on a vinyl under the name The Cockroaches, delivered in small numbers to some music stores around the world, triggering a stonesmania (with copies resold for hundreds of thousands of euros on sites like eBay and the like).
