Josh Freese returns (but briefly) to Perfect Circle

For the first thirteen dates of the “Sessanta Tour”, a series of events that will see A Perfect Circle engaged on American stages together with Primus and Puscifer, fans of the “Thirteenth Step” band will have the pleasure of finding Josh Freese behind the drums, drum virtuoso currently involved with the Foo Fighters who played in the lineup assembled by Billy Howerdel and Maynard James Keenan from 1999 to 2011. The news was announced by the artist himself – in the past also a collaborator of Italian stars such as Zucchero and Eros Ramazzotti – through of a post published on your Instagram page.

“I am happy to announce that for the first time in 13 years I will be playing with A Perfect Circle on the upcoming 'Sixties' tour,” wrote Freese: “Due to my commitments with the Foo Fighters, I will have to miss the dates after the one at Hollywood Bowl on April 20. Gunnar from Puscifer will replace me for the remaining dates. There's a chance he might return for another concert or two, if time permits, but for now that's the plan. A Perfect Circle have always been a very special band to me and I can't wait to play their songs again.”

Baptized “Sessanta” in honor of Keenan's sixtieth birthday (in the photo, taken on the occasion of the Tool show held in Florence in 2019) – which will fall on April 17th, when the caravan will be on stage for the second consecutive evening in Phoenix , Arizona – the tour will kick off in Boston on April 2nd and then make stops in, among other cities, Atlantic City, San Diego, Los Angeles and Chicago, concluding on May 4th at Forest Hills Stadium in New York.
