Anitta, the new album 'Funk Generation' comes out on April 26th

Brazilian pop star Anitta has announced the release date of her sixth album: the album, entitled “Funk Generation”, will be available starting next April 26th. The work was preceded by the first single “Double Team”, created by the Rio de Janeiro artist together with Bray and Bad Gyal.

“'Funk Generation' is an album with which I celebrate my roots”, explained Anitta in the album's presentation notes: “It's where I express the power of funk (from Rio de Janeiro) in every track, with its unique rhythms , danceable and sensual. It's a rhythm born in the favelas, where I grew up, and exudes resistance and art in every community. I'm proud to be working on a project about a genre that has been unfairly stigmatized in Brazil, but is slowly gaining recognition around the world. In the album I bring important collaborations that helped me tell this story. I was involved in every phase of the production and visual direction and I achieved the result I was aiming for.”

Anitta's previous album, “Versions of Me,” dates back to 2022.
