It’s official: Slayer are reuniting

The Slayer have officially reunited. The band held their last concert at the Forum in Inglewood, California on November 30, 2019 and have now announced their return to the stage.

The trash metal band is one of four headliners who will perform at the Louder Than Lifean event that will take place over four days, from September 26 to 29, at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

In addition to Slayer, the other three headliners of the event are Slipknot, Motley Crue And Korn. A very respectable cast.

So far, this is Slayer’s only performance announced, it is currently unknown whether they will tour or have any record releases planned. The band’s latest album, “Repentless”, was released in 2015.

Another doubt about the guitarist Kerry King who recently announced his new solo band and the release of his first album. He also said he never spoke to the Slayer frontman again Tom Araya from their farewell concert in 2019. So at the moment it is still unclear whether King will be part of this reunion or not.
