Bob Dylan: 60 of his memorabilia up for auction

Half a million dollars for “a piece” of Bob Dylan

Half a million dollars for “a piece” of Bob Dylan and his story. The typed drafts of one of the singer-songwriter’s most beloved songs, “Mr. Tambourine Man”, have been sold at auction. The sheets, full of corrections, were sold yesterday by Julien’s Auctions in Nashville, during a sale organized at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum. In addition to the typed drafts of the song, around sixty Dylan memorabilia from the personal collection of the American music journalist Al Aronowitz were put up for sale. The name of the buyer was not disclosed, but to purchase the proofs of “Mr. Tambourine Man” he paid 508 thousand dollars, or approximately 495 billion euros.
