Goodbye to Luigi Lopez
Luigi Lopez, musician and composer born in Rome, died today. He was 77 years old. He had started his business as an author – he published over 250 songs – in 1969 writing the B side of a 45 laps of Dino, “It is a globetrotter”, and had continued it by signing songs for Mita Medici, Wilma Goich, the Showmen, Caterina Caselli, I Vianella, the Mannoia -Foresi duo, Riccardo Fogli, starting a partnership with the parol. Patrizia Vistarini who later gave excellent results. The couple’s first success was “the desire to dream”, for Ornella Vanoni, which followed “Little Soul” and “Pencil World” for a 45 laps of Alice, “World” for Riccardo Fogli, “The night of thoughts” by Michele Zarrillo (written with Zarrillo and Luigi Albertelli) and above all “The snowfall of ’56”, writing with Vistarini and Franco Califano.
