George Michael, vinyl reissue for the 40th anniversary of “Faith”

On February 20, 2026, a new vinyl edition of “Faith” will be released, the album that marked George Michael’s solo debut in 1987: the first reissue of the record for over ten years. Pre-order is available from today, December 11th.
“Faith” will be released in several limited editions: Red & Black Marble vinyl, picture disc, double black vinyl with Blu-Ray and CD.

Written, arranged, produced and performed almost entirely by George Michael, the album consolidated his international fame and led him to win a Grammy for Album of the Year and three American Music Awards, selling over 25 million copies worldwide and reaching the top of the charts in more than ten countries. With four consecutive singles – “Faith,” “Father Figure,” “One More Try” and “Monkey” – reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Michael became the only British male solo artist to achieve this feat.

The new reissues were produced with sustainable materials. The vinyl is printed in Biovinyl, a PVC derived from renewable sources, while the packaging is made of FSC certified paper and cardboard, with vegetable-based inks. Each copy contributes to the environmental conservation project of the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heide Nature Park in Germany.
The CD is made with 90% recycled polycarbonate and produced with low environmental impact processes at Sonopress.
