From Ernia to De Gregori: an “Italian Friday” of exits

After Sergio Caputo’s “Italian Saturday”, there is also the “Italian Friday” of record releases. On September 19th he will see the publication of several artists from our country, but obviously there are also important international chapters. One of the most anticipated albums is that of Herniawhich returns to the scenes three years after “I am not afraid”, to which are added that of Colombre and Maria Antoniettacouple in life and music, and stainlessness Ministers. Space also to a reprint of “rimmel” of De Gregori and two international outputs: one, a lot in hype, is that of Lola Youngone of the brightest stars of today’s pop-rock, the other is the publication of a new album by Cardi B. Below Rockol’s advice.

Ernia – “For money and for love”

It will be released on September 19 “For money and for love”, the new album by Ernia, entirely produced and directed by Charlie Charles. For the multiplatin producer it is a return to “total” work: not only beat, but an artistic vision that embraces writing, production and creative direction. The agreement between the two is not born today. As children, their careers had already touched, but it is only now that the connection finds its most complete form. Charlie says he has found not only a colleague in the studio, but also a friend: a bond that made the project an immersive experience, capable of bringing the enthusiasm of gold days.

Colombre & Maria Antonietta – “Honeymoon”

“Moon of honey” is the first album shared by Maria Antonietta and Colombre, a couple in life and music. A disc born from an unexpected discovery: some drafts forgotten in an old hard disk, written in the first week in which they met 15 years ago. A sort of sentimental archeology that has given shape to ten new, bright, light and deep songs. For the first time, the two artists put aside their solo identities to embrace a municipality, made of irony, freedom, tenderness and play. An album that tells a happy love, not without shadows but alive, authentic, daily.

Ministers- “Popular Aurora”

Three years after “oaths”, the ministers will publish “Popular Aurora”, released on September 19th. Anticipated by the individual “buuum” and “approaching the coffers”, the new work promises to be a powerful album. To celebrate the arrival of the album, the Milanese trio has lined up eight instore dates from Milan to Florence. Then the tour will begin. The live dimension, fans know it well, is the real house of ministers. From Udine with Coldplay to Italian clubs, the trio built its identity by burning reinvented military and military uniforms. Now he returns to do it with a tour that will touch Milan, Rome, Bologna and beyond, ready to fill historic rooms such as Alcatraz and Estragon.

Francesco De Gregori – “Rimmel”

Well, what to say: this album certainly doesn’t need presentations. “Rimmel” is not only the album symbol of Francesco De Gregori, but also one of the masterpieces of the Italian songwriter. It was January 1975 when the Italian RCA sent the disc in the shops: the album made of De Gregori a pop star, representing a watershed in its history. Fifty years after its release, now, “Rimmel” returns to shops in the form of a special reprint to celebrate the important anniversary. The reprint will not include unpublished songs, outttakes or rarity, but the same songs as the original edition of 1975, starting from what the disc title gave. The re -edition, published by Sony Music, will be available in the following versions, all already pre -ordered on the official Sony Music store: LP 180gr Clear and LP 180GR Black, both at 192khz (for those who were not audio -firing: it is one of the best possible definitions), CD, CD + 45 Black rpm, CD + 45 laps Picture Disc and Musicsetta. The 45 laps follows the original version of 1975 with the songs “Rimmel” and “Little Mela”. For the first time there will be the texts of the songs in the LP version, an opportunity to deepen a classic of Italian music.

Lola Young – “I’m Only Fucking MySelf”

He conquered the world rankings last year with “Messy”, telling with irony, between Soul and R&B, his relationship with the ADHD, the attention/hyperactivity deficit disorder that was diagnosed when he was 17 years old. Now Lola Young, the 24 -year -old British singer -songwriter considered the brightest nascent star of the new overseas music scene, aims to prove that he is not just a meteor and does it with his new album “I’m Only Fucking Myself”. The album comes just over a year after the exit of the previous “This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway”, which was part of the same “Messy”: he will contain fourteen songs, including the single “One Thing”, with whom Lola Young tells his new life to be star.

Cardi B – “Am I The Drama?”

Seven years have passed since the debut of 2018 with “Invasion of Privacy” and in all this time Cardi B has certainly remained with his hands. Meanwhile, in 2019 he won the Grammy 2019 as Best Rap Album, becoming the first solo rapper woman to win that prize. After the 2018 album, the US Femcee continued to issue a successful single one after the other, seamlessly, starting from that “WAP” in a duet with her friend Megan Thee Stallion – known in Italy for her alleged flirtation with Romelu Lukaku – which has become a sort of cultural phenomenon. And then “Up”, “Enaughter (Miami)”, “Outside”. Now Cardi B returns to the scene with a new album, the second of his discography: is it titled “Am I The Drama?” And it collects some of the individuals published in recent years by the Femcee as well as unpublished songs. Announced several times and as many times postponed, the disc is ready: will it consecrate the success of the femcee?
