Emerson Lake & Palmer, “Welcome Back My Friends” is out

It is being released on the Anglo-Saxon market “Welcome Back My Friends – A People’s History of Emerson, Lake & Palmer”authorized book by the British prog rock trio, published by Spenwood Books. The volume consists of 352 softcover pages, stories and hundreds of photographs. These also include unpublished images from the photographer’s archive Neal Preston.

The title of the book is borrowed from the text of “Karn Evil 9: 2nd Impression”a song included in the album “Brain Salad Surgery” released in 1973. Then used as the title of the band’s 1974 triple live album.

The
Emerson Lake and Palmer
are known for extravagant performances of
Keith Emerson
to the Hammond organ and Moog synthesizer, and for their fusion of elements of classical music and jazz with symphonic rock. In the book, over one hundred concerts of the group are remembered through the testimony of 370 fans.
