Elodie in Sanremo: “I’ll be back with a romantic drama, to dance to”

Forgetting at 7” is the title of the song that marks Elodie’s return to competition in Sanremo, two years after her participation with “Due” in 2023. The song is presented as a “prelude to the new musical era” of the singer, which talks about 2025 as an “even more ambitious” year than the previous one, with new projects in both the musical and cinematographic fields.

Elodie looks back at the year that is coming to an end, and anticipates the upcoming projects including the new album, successor to “OK. Breathe” of 2023: “2024 was certainly an important year, during which I began to build what 2025 will be,” he said in a pre-Christmas press conference. He continues:

“I started with ‘Black Nirvana’, linked to the summer period. Summer gave me so many hits, so I like going back to summer and summer hits. It’s a happy period for me, with ‘Black Nirvana’, I managed to hook up with Tiziano Ferro: I took a plane, I managed to meet him and do a piece together. For me it was very important to be able to duet with him, a cornerstone of Italian music: his music raised me. So ‘Feeling’ is definitely a very important song for me, because it represents something special to be close to such an important singer-songwriter.

And then we have to close the album: it’s a different album for me, but at the same time it unites what I’ve said so far, it has a little more grit both in the sounds and in the lyrics. I tried to tell myself from another aspect, which perhaps I will tell more about in interviews or in my various publications. My songs so far felt a little behind my approach to life.”

2025 will therefore begin with participation in the Festival: “This year I’m looking forward to Samremo, more this year than other years. Why this year I bring a piece that I love very muchbecause it tells two sides of me, a bit dramatic at times, unnecessarily so. How only love can arouse that drama, and I like it. I even wear an elegant dressing gown sometimes to despair of myself with a bit of chic.” He continues: “The music of this piece represents me a lotfor the first time I’ve been keeping my nose in the productionwhich is something that had never happened, but not because I didn’t have the possibility, but because until you have an idea, it’s useless.

This time I had the idea, in short, then I also have a bit of creativity, and therefore .this piece tells a bit about my musical tastes, there are mine referencethere are my nights. There’s a lot of me in it, so it’s a piece that I love very much, I can’t wait to get on stage and play, play a lot. I love playing, luckily this job allows me to do that.”

Of the Sanremo piece, Elodie says:

“It’s a song with a nice romantic drama. Then it doesn’t matter what I have to forget, let’s always remember that I don’t write, so in any case I like to interpret, which in my opinion is much more interesting for me.”

When asked if it’s autobiographical, the singer adds: “No, it’s not autobiographical. In the sense that it is not autobiographical of this precise moment, but I have found myself in that situation many times. Once something ends, you’re in that situation. But it’s not about today.”

Speaking of the sound, he reveals: “This song for me is a ballad, think of my madness. It’s the ballad of a person who goes dancing under the cash register. But there is melancholy in my soul. It’s a song that’s urgent, but it’s melancholy. I find it sad, but it’s probably my way of feeling sadness.”

The new musical project will accompany the public towards the two summer events in the stadiums, “Elodie The Stadium Show“: at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Sunday June 8, 2025and so on Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, Thursday June 12, 2025.

It’s a gamble, but I like challenges“, says Elodie about stadium dates: “I like the idea of show and grandeur, in the purest sense of the term. I want to be everything I can be, in a dramatic, huge way. The stadium seemed like a great opportunity to tell a great show.” Anticipating something more about the concerts, he adds:

“We started having the first meetings to understand how to structure the show, for now we have already decided that we want to have four moments, four acts, I don’t know what to call them, four moments in which I tell myself in four different ways. It’s a bit of this, a bit of the journey I’m making in this period, being able to dissect myself, to understand what I’m made of, beyond what we see, what is the first approach. I feel like many women and so I’m trying to tell it in live too. I still have to get there, however there will obviously be ballets, songs, but we will organize everything in this period”.

In parallel with music, Elodie also took part in new ones film projects. After his debut in the film “I’ll Eat Your Heartwill return to tackle the role of actress in Mario Martone’s new feature film “Outin which he worked with actresses of the caliber of Valeria Golino and Matilda De Angelis. Furthermore, Elodie will be the female protagonist of the thriller “Performancedirected by Lucio Pellegrini, in which he will star alongside Adriano Giannini and Eduardo Scarpetta.

The artist also once again measured herself with the dubbing experience, lending her voice to Sarabi, Simba’s mother, in the Italian version of the film “Mufasa – The Lion King” just released in theaters.
