Elisa, end of the break: here’s the single “Dillo solo in the dark”

End of the break for Elisa. A year ago, on the eve of the release of “Intimate – Recording at Abbey Road Studios”, the album which saw her revisit some hits from her repertoire in an acoustic key, recorded in the legendary London studios frequented by the Beatles, the singer-songwriter expressed his desire to unplug a bit: “I need to make a point.

I feel empty. It’s premature to say what the future will be – he said – but I have given everything and studied a lot in recent years. In a few days I will turn 46 and, after a certain age, to continue singing you have to study. I’m hyperactive and will spend my time these weeks doing things like snowboarding, a great passion of mine. What is certain is that for more than a year I will not release anything and I will remain away from the scene”. Now, almost twelve months later, Elisa returns to the scene and does so with a new single, “Dillo solo al cuore”, forerunner of a larger project whose details will only be revealed in the coming months.

“Say it only in the dark”, with music by Elisa, Davide Simonetta and Alessandro Raina and lyrics by Elisa and Alessandro Raina, is produced by Andrea Rigonat, guitarist and husband of the singer-songwriter. About the song, the voice of “Luce (Tramonti a nord est)” says:

Just Say It in the Dark is a dedication to my best friend, she is one of the purest souls I have been lucky enough to meet. It talks about a disappointment in love, but above all it talks about people who have the courage to be themselves, to love to the fullest, and how this, unfortunately, can frighten others. There is also the complicity of true friendship, the one that makes you stay close in difficult moments, understanding each other without too many words.
