Finneas: “That’s why I stopped touring with Billie”
The absence of Finneas among the musicians who are accompanying his sister Billie Eilish on the stages of the arenas where the world tour of “Hit me hard and soft” stops, which on 8 June 2025 will also see the pop star perform at the Unipol Arena of Casalecchio di Reno, in Bologna, made fans suspicious. What is behind the lack of involvement of the pop star’s brother, the architect of his success thanks to the flashes with which he embellished the productions of hits such as “Bad guy” or the latest “Birds of a feather”? Finneas himself explains it in an interview with Corriere della Sera signed by Barbara Visentin, granted on the occasion of the recent release of his new solo album “For cryin’ out loud!”:
They don’t have to worry: we will definitely continue to work together and I stopped touring with her precisely to have more time to write songs together, otherwise it would really become too tiring. But now I will do my concerts and after that I will be even happier to write with her.
Regarding his relationship with criticism, Finneas regretted it:
I think Billie is judged much more than me, firstly because she is much more famous, but also because she is a woman and I am a man. Women are judged much more harshly than men. I know that any celebrity is always under scrutiny, but she’s my sister and so she’s the one I pay the most attention to.
