Bassist Paz Lenchantin has left the Pixies

THE Pixies they announced via social media the bassist's departure from the group Paz Lenchantin.

Lenchantin joined the Pixies in 2014, replacing bassist Kim Shattuck and appeared on the band's last three albums: Head Carrier” of 2016, “Beneath the Eyrie” of 2019 and “Doggerel” of 2022.

In the message that appeared on X with which they communicated the separation, the Pixies declared:

Lenchantin left the band to focus on his own projects. We are grateful for Paz's contribution and wish her all the best for the future.

To replace Lenchantin, the Pixies have recruited Emma Richardsonformer member of the British rock band Band of Skulls.

Richardson will make her debut when the Pixies kick off their 2024 tour in Dublin, Ireland on March 8 for three dates. They will then continue to Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Paris (with three dates in each city). From the end of May they will return to America, to then return to Europe from July to the end of August. At the moment the band has no dates scheduled in Italy.
