Alice Cooper He never expected to perform once he turned 30 and is amazed to still be touring after six decades of playing music.

The “School’s Out” rocker is back in concert with Rob Zombie for their “Freaks on Parade” tour and is amazed that his career has gone on for so long.

Asked if he was surprised by his longevity, Alice replied to Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “You can ask Mick Jagger and Keith Richards! We never thought we’d reach 30. The “Godfather of Shock Rock” explained that he has no intention of ending a career spanning more than 60 years anytime soon.

Alice explained: “I’ve always said I’ll retire when I can’t physically do it anymore, or when the audience doesn’t show up. That tells you you’re done: if nobody shows up. We’ve sold out every show, basically. Because retire from something you love to do? I still really enjoy it.”
