For a few months I have dedicated myself to reading detective stories by Italian authors, mainly those that have a fixed protagonist and a serial plot. A few weeks ago I read all the volumes dedicated to the (mis)adventures of the lawyer Vincenzo Malinconico (“I didn’t understand anything”, 2007, “My mother-in-law drinks”, 2010, “I’m against emotions”, 2011, “Divorcing with style”, 2017, “The values that count (I would have preferred not to discover them)”, 2020, and “I’m happy, where did I go wrong?”, 2022), from which it was taken also a series of TV series. Added to the fun of reading was the surprise of finding musical-themed chapters scattered here and there among the pages of the books. Intrigued, I contacted Diego Da Silva, the author, and interviewed him.
