And Cesare Cremonini joins Damon Albarn in the studio. Whether to work on a project together or just to meet the Blur frontman is unknown at the moment. It was the former leader of Lunapop who recounted the meeting with his colleague, in a post published on social media, together with some photos depicting the two together at Studio 13 in West London, Albarn’s “den”: «Damon Albarn is a genius. In his London studio there is a loving and creative air. One day we were in his magical chest, full of rare musical instruments from all over the world, each with its own story. It was beautiful and healing to feel his energy in a difficult, delicate but very important and artistically explosive moment for me”, wrote Cremonini.

Already last month Cremonini had shared some shots portraying him at work at Albarn’s Studio 13: «Damon Albarn’s Studio 13 is, like its founder, an extremely creative place, with a dry, intimate but welcoming sound». The Bolognese singer-songwriter is evidently working on new music, perhaps in view of the concerts of the 2026 tour, which will debut on May 31st from the Amedeo Duca D’Aosta Airport in Gorizia before stopping on June 6th and 7th at the Circo Massimo in Rome, on June 10th at the La Maura Hippodrome in Milan, on June 13th at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola and on June 17th at the Visarno Arena in Florence.

Cremonini’s latest album of unreleased songs is “Alaska baby”, released in autumn 2024 and followed a year later by the live album “Cremonini Live25”.
