Who really won the Sanremo Festival, a month later?
Exactly one month after the end of the 2026 Sanremo Festival, it’s time to take stock. If the 76th edition of the event has crowned the winner Sal Da Vinci with his “Forever yes“, which will compete in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna from 12 to 16 May, the streaming, radio and YouTube charts provide a much more complex picture of post-Ariston success. As often happens, the official winner does not necessarily coincide with the real market champion. The data collected in these first four weeks following the Festival reveal different dynamics and reward artists who have been able to conquer the public in the long term.
Spotify: Samurai Jay dominates, +77% compared to Sal Da Vinci
On the streaming front, a clear result emerges: Samurai Jayonly seventeenth in the Sanremo ranking, is the real winner from a digital point of view, with well 30.3 million streams achieved on Spotify in this first month after the conclusion of the event. A fact that widely stands out from all other competitors: just think that its “Ossessione” totaled 77% more listeners than Sal Da Vinci’s “Forever Yes”, which instead “stopped” at 17.1 million streams. For the record: last year Olly’s “Balorda nostalgia” had exceeded 40 million streams, a month after the end of the 2025 Sanremo Festival and several songs had exceeded 20 million streams, from “Battito” by Fedez to “I wanted to be a tough guy” by Lucio Corsi, passing through “La cura per me” by Giorgia and “Incoscienti Nuovi” by Achille Lauro. This year, however, a month after the end of the Festival only two songs have surpassed that milestone: just behind “Ossessione” by Samurai Jay we find “I like you a lot” by Sayfsecond to Ariston, which scored on Spotify 20.1 million streams. Sal Da Vinci placed himself on the lowest step of the podium: behind him was Ditonellapiaga with “What a nuisance!” (16.1 million plays) and Fulminacci with “Stupida unfortunate” (13.6 million plays).
The radios crown Ditonellapiaga as queen
Toe in the sorethird place at Ariston, gets an rwinning on the radio with “How annoying!According to RadioAirplay data, the song scored in this first month of programming 19,101 steps. Behind the Roman singer-songwriter we find Sayf with “I like you a lot”, 16,508 steps conquered in these four weeks. Sal Da Vinci ranks third in the passing league: his “Forever yes” was played on the radio 15,946 times. Yet it disappears from the top 5 if you look at the ranking by score (which takes into account not only the number of plays, but also the number of radio stations broadcasting the song, the broadcast time and the estimated reach of listeners), which sees Ditonellapiaga first with a score of 438.5 million, Sayf second with a score of 409 million, Samurai Jay third with 354.9 million, Tommaso Paradiso fourth with “I romantici” and a score of 353.7 million and fifth Fulminacci with “Stupid bad luck” and a score of 326.6 million.
Sal Da Vinci makes a comeback on YouTube, thanks to the video
AND only on the video front does the official winner defend the leadership. The video clip for “Forever Yes” by Sal Da Vinci has reached YouTube 17 million viewsconfirming a strong transversal following. Behind him is Sayf: the video for “Tu mi piaci tanto” has totaled 10 million views, while Samurai Jay with that of “Ossessione” has reached 7.1 million clicks. Good result also for LDA and Aka7even with 5.8 million views of the video of “Poesie clandestine”, followed by Ditonellapiaga at 4.7 million.
