X Factor, Mimì wins

Mimi is the winner of the 2024 edition of X Factor. Second were Les Votives, third were Patagarri, fourth was Lorenzo Salvetti. The talent final took place in Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples, in front of 16,000 peoplewith a mega show that featured guests Robbie Williams, Gigi D’Alessio (who sang a tribute to Pino Daniele with Giorgia) And Paola and Chiara.
Mimì was followed by Manuel Agnelli, his first victory in the talent event after six participations.

The other three competitors – Lorenzo Salvetti Patagarri and Les Votives – were from Achille Lauro’s team, which reached the final intact. In the first heat, “My Song”, each artist chose a song: Lorenzo “Cosa mi manchi a fare” by Calcutta, Mimì “Because The Night” by Patti Smith; I Patagarri “Cam-Camini’” (soundtrack from “Mary Poppins”); Les Votives “Someone Like You” by Adele. Second run with the “Best Of” of previous performances at X Factor 2024 with four medleys. In the end in the third and final round the artists sang their unreleased song again (we talked about the songs here). Then, the winner was announced.

In general it was a good edition, especially from the point of view of the show: Giorgia was very good at hosting, a good chemistry between the judges, even if in the final – entirely decided by televoting – they acted a bit as extras (and the wind cold blowing in the square seems to have put them in difficulty on more than one occasion).
Musically speaking, however, it was a normal year, without any great highlights: the most mature artist, Frankly, was eliminated in the semi-final. However, a deserved win, that of Mimì: the purest talent of this edition, enhanced by “Dove si va”, an unreleased song written by Madame.

X Factor will return in 2025 – the agreement between Sky and Fremantle has been renewed – and the intention communicated by the broadcaster is to confirm hosting and jury.
