Virginiana Miller are back
2026 opens with a return. In fact today it came out, “The end of patriarchy”a new song by Virginiana Millerfor the NOS Records label with Believe Digital distribution, produced by the group’s bassist Daniele Catalucci. The Livorno band hadn’t shown any signs of themselves since 2019, when the album was released “The unreal McCoy” (read the review here).
Since then – this was before the pandemic – traces of the Virginiana Miller until two years ago, when the band announced a concert at the Arci Progresso in Florence. At the end of the performance, surprisingly, the group performed a new song, “The end of patriarchy”. “Maybe this song means that sooner or later we will make another album,” the Virginiana frontman said as he took leave of the audience. Simone Lenzi.
Now that song is published, after having recorded and re-recorded it, to give it a definitive form. “The end of the patriarchy sings of a family memory that I found significant, and perhaps something else too. It is probably the moment in which we begin to say goodbye to all those who loved us a little. It is good to do it with few words, without gossip and, possibly, with a little good taste”, he comments Simone Lenzi.
