Vasco, the rehearsals of the tour is underway: the advances on the lineup
“We broke … the ice”: Vasco Rossi writes on Instagram, sharing the first images of the tests of the “Vasco Live 2025” with its 2.3 million followers, which will start on May 27, in a month, with the zero date at the municipal stadium of Bibione. The preparations of the tour that will see Zocca’s rocker return to perform in the Italian stadiums officially come alive. And the rumors are chasing on the lineup: what will be the common thread that will bind the songs? What songs of his repertoire Vasco will bring back to the lineup next to Must as “Renigoled life”, “Is it just us”, “Song” and “Albachiara”? The 400 thousand fans who have purchased tickets for the Tourneé concerts are asking for it, who after the debut in Bibione will stop in Turin (31 May and 1 June, Olympic Stadium), Florence (5 and 6 June, Visarno Arena), Bologna (11 and 12 June, Dall’Ara stadium), Naples (16 and 17 June, Diego Armando Maradona stadium), Messina (21 and 22 June, San June. Filippo) and Rome (27 and 28 June, Olympic Stadium).
A small anticipation on the theme underlying the choice of songs offered Vasco himself in the recent interview granted to La Stampa, signed by Marinella Venegoni: to lead the selection of the songs in the lineup was, the songwriter said, “Life, in all his meanings”. In the same interview with La Stampa, the Rocker anticipated that in the “Vasco Live 2025” lineup an unpublished song could also be found, which could be released in May, before the departure of the tour.
In January Vasco in a clip shared on Instagram said: “I tried to sing a very Inter song with a new arrangement … I am very significant for this historical period too”. The opening songs are always particularly important, in the Scales of the Rocker concerts: they embody the mood that characterizes the show in general and messages that Rossi wants to somehow transmit through the show itself. Last year’s concerts, for example, opened with “” Blasco ‘Rossi”, a piece taken from the album “There are those who say no” of 1987 inspired by the theme of marginalization and exclusion: “La Combriccola del Blasco” represented a minority forced to suffer the judgments of moralists and respectable. Moreover, Vasco had promised that the lineup would be “on the social”, as opposed to that of 2023 which was instead “more intimate” and focused on the “relationship between man and woman”, with an opening dedicated to “Dill to the Moon”. Explaining the dynamics underlying the choice of songs, last year Vasco had written to the fans: “The sequence of live songs, the ladder or set list that it is, is fundamental. Mine change every year, depending on the story we want to do. What makes my concerts special is the wave that is created at the succession of the songs, it overwhelms you, whips you, leaves you a moment. A continuous emotion, like being in the rides on the flying room.
Sometimes I leave big songs out, that’s obvious: I can’t sing them all. I assure, however, as long as in the course of the two hours and passes in concert they will be ‘all’ represented “.
This year the fortieth anniversary occurs from the release of one of the most iconic records of Vasco’s career, that “thing happens in the city” which he engraved after the 1984 arrest for possession of cocaine and the 22 days spent in prison. The exact anniversary will fall on June 9, in the middle of the tour. The song that gave the title to the album Manca in the cakes of the songwriter’s concerts since 2019. But in the album there were also beloved pieces of his repertoire as “Toffee” and “T’amagini”, who found space in the stairs also in recent times (both played them in the 2022 tour). Others, on the other hand, have not appeared in the scalette of the rocker shows for a long time, as in the case of “What’s”, the song that opened the Ellepì: the last time Vasco performed it live was even in 2007, eighteen years ago. Who knows that the Komandante does not dust him for the occasion.
