Turnstile debut on Saturday Night Live with several songs

Turnstile debuted last night on October 3 at “Saturday Night Live”performing “Birds” and a medley of “I Care” and “Dull.” The Baltimore band performed as musical guests in the second episode of the 52nd season of the American show, presented by Dakota Johnson. In his first performance, Brendan Yates and the rest of the group performed “Birds”, one of the most powerful songs from their fourth album, “Never Enough”. Later in the episode, they returned to the stage to play two songs in a row, opening with “I Care” before moving into “Dull.”

The performance came a day after the band played at the festival Austin City Limits in Texas, and closes an important period for the band after the publication of “Never Enough” in June 2025. “Birds” won the Grammy to Best Metal Performance in February, while “Never Enough” took the Best Rock Album. Following these awards, Turnstile spoke out against what they described as “elevated state violence” in different parts of the world, noting that they are seeing people being driven from their homes in the United States, Palestine, Sudan, Iran and elsewhere.
