Trent Reznor’s Song of 2024: “Espresso,” Sabrina Carpenter

The musical career of Trent Reznor he had, among other things, the merit of having brought industrial rock into the mainstream with his Nine Inch Nailsthis does not mean that the American musician has recently disdained pop sounds. He reiterated this during a brief exchange with the interviewer from Los Angeles radio station 98.7 on the red carpet at the recent Golden Globes.

Asked what his favorite song of 2024 was, the 59-year-old Reznor indicated the hit Sabrina Carpenter “Espresso”. Clearly it is not known whether his response was dictated by irony or whether hissed in all sincerity.

As recently as last summer, Trent Reznor he declared that pop music generally sucks.
