Trent Reznor, previews on the Nine Inch Noize album
Trent Reznor has teased what fans can expect from their joint album “Nine Inch Noize,” out in the next few days.
Last week, Nine Inch Nails announced a new collaborative album with Boys Noize ahead of their first show together during the first weekend of Coachella 2026 (video below)
The two artists already have a history of collaborations – including the “Challengers” and “TRON: Ares” soundtracks – and are on the Coachella bill under the name Nine Inch Noize.
Boys Noize had already joined NIN for a few dates on the UK leg of their ‘Peel It Back’ tour last summer, performing remixes from a small second stage located in the middle of the audience.
The album’s 12-song tracklist follows the same order as Nine Inch Noize’s set at Coachella, including covers of songs such as ‘Vessel’, ‘She’s Gone Away’, ‘Copy of A’, ‘Closer’ and ‘As Alive as You Need Me to Be’. There are also new versions of ‘Parasite’ from previous side project How to Destroy Angels and ‘Memorabilia’ by Soft Cell.
Trent Reznor:
“The creative satisfaction from working on the ‘Challengers’ and ‘Tron’ soundtracks with Boys Noize led me to think that involving him on the ‘Peel It Back’ tour might be an interesting way to express NIN in more purely electronic terms live — a concept I’ve been wanting to explore for some time. We had a lot of fun revisiting these songs and hope you enjoy them.”
