Tomorrowland: a woman died at the Festival
A 35 -year -old Canadian woman died at the Tomorrowland Festival on the night of Friday 18 July: according to the NME, the victim had an illness inside the Festival area, the rescue tried to revive her and transported her to the hospital, where she then died. According to what was communicated by the Office of the Prosecutor of Antwerp, there would be a death linked to the use of drugs: “The Prosecutor immediately started an investigation. The autopsy and a in -depth toxicological analysis will provide definitive answers.”
The accident comes after a series of very complex days for the Festival symbol of electronic music, which managed to leave regularly after the exceptional response to the fire that devastated the main stage, reconstructed in less than 24 hours using structures partly derived from the metal tour.
On Wednesday evening a fire – fortunately without victims or injured – had destroyed the Tomorrowland main internship, questioning its development. The organization had announced that the Camping Dreamville would be opened on scheduled times: the organizers therefore managed to reconstruct an alternative, smaller, about 70 meters wide and 8 meters high.
Charlotte Dewitte, who is responsible for the honor of opening and closing the Festival from the Main Stage, posted this video that portrays it in front of the rubble of the old stage and in the console on the one just reconstructed.
