Tom DeLonge, ill during concert in Paraguay

The thermometer read 35 degrees centigrade. Add to that the heat emanating from the engines and headlights and try to imagine what the air was like on stage at the Asunciónico festival in Paraguay last Tuesday, when Blink-182 performed in front of the crowd at the event. Not everything went smoothly. Tom DeLonge fell ill during the show, as he himself said on Instagram, sharing a shot from the concert.

“I fell to my knees, everything went blurry, then I staggered to the side of the stage and vomited for a while,” he said. The musician needed a few minutes to recover and return to the stage to bandmates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, heroically bringing the show to a close: “Man, I've never felt this feeling before. 35 degrees at 11pm on stage. But I came back and finished the show,” DeLonge wrote.
