Tina Turner: “What’s love got to do with it” returns with rarity

From next April 26th a new edition will be available, in the form of an expanded box set, of the soundtrack album of the film “What’s love got to do with it”, a 1993 film about the life of Tina Turner, which took its title from the homonym song, written by Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, and originally published on the American diva’s 1984 album “Private Dancer”.

The new collection, in addition to the original album for which at the time the musician who passed away last May, among other things, re-recorded some of the hits initially recorded with her ex-husband Ike Turner, will include rarities and the entire recording of the concert brought to scene on September 15, 1993 at the Blockbuster Pavilion (now Glen Helen Amphitheater) in San Bernardino, California.

In addition to being a four-disc collection and a DVD, with the live performance available both as audio and on DVD, the reissue of “What’s love got to do with it” will also be available as a two-disc edition without the concert and as a vinyl, with the remastered edition of the original album released last year.
