Ticket to Hell, the first album also on cassette

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the legendary debut album of the Lombard group, AMS Records is publishing, in addition to a commemorative version on white vinyl, an ultra-limited edition of 50 copies – available only via BTF, not in store – on cassette of the 1974 progressive masterpiece, a format never re-proposed since then.

The first and eponymous album of Biglietto per l’Inferno, released in 1974, still represents one of the most significant peaks in the panorama of Italian progressive rock, and is a constant presence in the lists of the best Italian rock albums of all time.

The cover image is signed by photographer Caesar Monti. The lyrics are by singer Claudio Canali, who later followed his spiritual calling by retiring to a convent until his death in 2018. The bankruptcy of the record company marked the end of the group after only two years of career and the recording of a second album, “Il tempo della semina”, which remained unreleased until many years later.
